Take It And Run

We've been having so much gloomy weather lately, it doesn't really feel much like Spring. I'd really like the sun back for a little while, but at least it's not cold! The weather was quite warm this past weekend, despite the clouds, which was perfect for this rather casual ensemble. I really how the knitted cardigan just drapes so well! I wanted it to be the focus of my outfit, so I kept the rest of the look crisp and simple. A swipe of orange lipstick and some sparkly bracelets and I was good to go!

Hope you're all enjoying your week so far!

All That Glitters

Hi everyone! If you follow me on twitter, you might have already seen this necklace! But for those of you who haven't, here are a couple pictures of my new statement piece. I'm head over heels for its huge jewels, it's sparkle, and glamour. I'm pretty sure it would glam up any outfit!

Sweet Dreams

I'm loving this whole pajama trend that is going on right now! I've seen it in so many magazines lately, and think it's so fresh and fun, and is a definate throwback to the 1940's. I think the key to this look is to keep the rest of your outfit pulled together and chic, instead of messy and undone. This makes it look intentional, rather then you fell out of bed and didn't have any time to get ready! I wore my black satin pajama top, paired with a sleek bun, a swipe of orange lipstick, red pumps, and my Louis Vuitton Cannes. What's your take on this look?

Brocade

This is absolutely my new favorite hairstyle!! I realize my bun is practically as big as my head...but that makes it all the more glamorous, right? Another plus, is it's super easy to do and really quick. Perfect for those days that you just don't have time to do your hair.

I'm wearing a gold brocade dress over a navy silk blouse. I told you guys I was crazy about shiny/metallic things! I think I'm just drawn to luxurious fabrics in general like silk, satin, brocade...etc.
I just feel like they are so easy to wear, like you never have to try too hard to make them look good. They just naturally seem so glamorous and chic and don't require much accessorizing, since they standout so well on their own.

Here and There

How can you go wrong with a trench coat? I really love this colored one from Zara. It's fresh and bright, perfect for the ever-changing weather we've been having in California lately, and the length is absolutely perfect!

If any of you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you probably already heard about my interview for Openbeast Magazine. For those of you who haven't, check out my interview [here]!!! Be sure to let me know what you think of it!!

Have a great week!

Ooh La

I just discovered Lana Del Rey's music this past week....I'm a little behind I realize! She's been really big for a while now, and it amazes me that I just started listening to her because her voice is so different and captivating! I think my favorite song of hers is "Dark Paradise" or "Blue Jeans." Do any of you listen to her? If so, which are your favorite songs?

In this post I'm wearing a BCBG dress with rosettes on the front. It's really different isn't it? I've had it for a while now, but completely forgot about it...however, it seemed perfect for Easter Sunday! Enjoy the pictures.

You and I

I love the vintagey feel of this dress! It definately reminds me of something from the 50's maybe?...but more updated with the short bubble hem. It's definately one of my spring/summer go-to pieces since it's so easy to wear. I decided to pair the dress with a structured blue blazer and some teal pumps. Tell me what you think!

Hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend!

I'll Make It That Simple

I hope everyone is having a good week! I just started a new quarter at school which some of you may already know if you follow me on Twitter! So far so good though!

In this outfit post, I'm again wearing some of the new items I got last week! These heels from Zara are absolutely amazing and elegant. The style is simple, but the orange color really makes them pop with an outfit! I hope you all like this simple outfit, as it has become one of my favorites to wear during this mild spring season. I love how the light white fabrics contrast with the ruggedness of the utility vest!
