Crimson :: Neoprene Skirt and Houndstooth Details
Hey everyone! I hope you all survived Thanksgiving and Black Friday and what not! This is what I decided to wear for my Thanksgiving celebration. I was feeling a little Blair Waldorf inspired and VERY festive. Can you tell?
Even though it's still quite warm in OC, it's cool enough to start incorporating scarves. I'm completely in love with this Emma scarf from a new LA based online store, From Dylan. It's extremely soft and i love the houndstooth print, which also comes in yellow and coral! I literally just want one of every scarf on the website now that the chilly weather is kicking in! Definitely check them out while you're doing all your online Christmas shopping!

Dark Side :: Distressed Denim and Jewel Toned Dots
Happy Monday Everyone!
I actually don't wear a lot of black normally as I'm really all about that color, but sometimes it's nice to mix it up for a change. I absolutely adore this top from Club Monaco (last seen here)! I love how the purple velvet polka dots add texture and dimension to an otherwise simple blouse.
Even though it's still warm enough to wear shorts here in Southern California, I've started adding richer colors and heavier textures into my wardrobe that are more Fall/Winter-like. For this time of year, I absolutely adore jewel tones and more chunky textures like tweed and some distressed denim.
What are your favorite trends for Fall?

First
I've been on a sort of hiatus for a while now, seeing as I haven't posted since....October! It seems like it's been ages, and at times I felt as though I forgot how to be a blogger. However, I really missed it all and am looking forward to starting fresh again with this post! So here it is, my first post of 2014!
If you follow my Instagram, you'd know that I actually received this dress a while ago thanks to the lovely team over at Others Follow. Based in Orange County, the brand fully embodies a laid back, SoCal vibe through their clothing that's perfect for those who enjoy simple, versatile pieces. Let me know what you think of the dress in the comments! :)

Cold Shoulder
I guess I have a thing for monochromatic dressing these days! Something about it seems very effortless, while still remaining put together and chic at the same time.
So, I re-dyed my hair by myself last week and I'm really loving how vibrant it turned out! I've had quite a few hair colors in the past, but I think red is definitely my favorite! What do you guys think?

Monochrome
The weather here is ever-changing lately. One day it's soaring in the 90's and the next it's pouring rain in in the 60's. In an attempt to escape the heat last week, I dressed down to leather short shorts and a cool, airy top. I did get a couple funny looks wearing this outfit though! I think people were wondering if I was wearing pants or not! That's what I get for monochromatic dressing! Haha :)
Hope you all have a nice Wednesday!

Four Twenty Two
I have this obsession with leather everything lately. These shorts from Zara are perfection! I love that they're not the typical black leather that you normally see, not to mention the super short cut.
These sunglasses are from Firmoo. I have a couple pairs of their prescription glasses and really had no idea that they also sold sunglasses. These are pretty cute I'd say!
Have a fantastic Monday!!!

Bomber Jacket
This jacket has been a staple in my closet for the past month! I literally throw it on over any/every outfit whether it be with a skirt, shorts, or jeans. I love the embroidered detailing on the back as well as the gold zippers and leather shoulders.

Stripes and Leather
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had fun celebrating over the holidays! :)
These pictures were taken a few weeks ago, before the holidays and well before the temperature decided to drop to 37 degrees! I'm praying it warms up a little since my native Southern Californian-ness is dying in this freezing cold weather!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these boots! I showed them to you all on Instagram a while back, and this is what they look like on. A great affordable version of these Givenchy ones.....AND they're super comfy too!

Jeans and Jewels
Because you just can't be dressed up all the time...
On days when I just don't feel like dressing up, I really love a jeans and T-shirt combo. I really don't like looking sloppy though, so I added a vest and statement necklace. I think statement jewelry is really a great way to pull a casual outfit together, don't you?

Lace and Chiffon
Just when I thought it was finally cooling down for good, the temperature shoots right back up to 90 degrees! So much for sweater weather huh? I guess it's not so bad wearing summer outfits a little longer since I'm sure it'll be freezing in no time. I really do love wearing sheer, flowy fabrics when it's hot, since tend to feel cooler. I love the draped front on this NRFB top and the braided straps too. It's very romantic and girly, perfect for a hot summer/autumn day!
By the way, can you tell that my hair is shorter and darker? :)

Nerdy Side
I’m currently channeling my inner nerd with these new glasses from Firmoo! Although I usually wear contacts, I like having a spare pair of glasses handy for days spent lounging around at home and watching TV/movies at night, since I have a tendency to fall asleep
Self-proclaimed as the “most popular online eyeglasses store,” Firmoo carries a huge variety of prescription and sunglasses for both men and women at extremely affordable prices. And when I say extremely affordable, I mean under $100.
I found the ordering experience to be extremely streamlined and easy. I picked out the pair of glasses I wanted, then input my prescription, and I was good to go! I ordered prescription glasses, but non-prescription lenses are also available for those of you who just want to play with the nerdy look! Firmoo has a bunch of add-ons that are available for your glasses at pretty affordable prices as well , such as lens tinting, anti-glare coatings, polycarb lenses, as well as super thin lenses.
I know ordering glasses online seems pretty iffy since you can’t physically try them on, but that problem is solved with the virtual “try on” feature on the website. You can upload a picture of yourself, or take a picture with your webcam. It’s pretty simple to do and I think gives a nice preview of how the glasses would look on your face.
All of the glasses come with a hard plastic case, a soft traveling pouch, a cleaning cloth, and a mini-repair kit that includes extra screws and mini screwdriver. I really love that you get a repair kit, as sometimes those screws can come undone after a while. As for the glasses themselves, they’re great! The lens prescription is perfect, and the glasses feel super light-weight and are very comfortable to wear. And since they’re inexpensive, I don’t worry so much about them, since they’re always replaceable!
You guys can also get a free pair of glasses too! Firmoo currently has a promotion going on allowing new customers to receive a free pair of glasses. All you have to do is pay shipping! Check out the details here!
If you guys were wondering these are the glasses I’m wearing! Although, I love these ones as well!
Check them out and let me know what you guys think!

Fall Wishlist
Is it a little too early to start shopping for Fall?....
I must admit I'm a little sick of the hot weather lately, and am actually looking forward to cooler weather. I can't wait to layer up some slouchy sweaters and don some scarves and boots!
I'm definitely behind on the whole armcandy front. I really love the look it gives, but being rather minimalistic when it comes to accessorizing, i don't really have much to stack on my wrist. I'm thinking I need to stock up on some bangles and bracelets sometime soon? And perhaps get myself an Urban Decay Naked/Naked II palette while I'm at it. I've heard nothing but good things about it!

Star Spangled
Hi everyone! I hope you all had a fun and safe Independence Day! I know I did!
In honor of the holiday, I decided to wear red, white, and blue. I realized while putting together my outfit that I really don't have much red clothing, other than red shoes. It's a little weird that I have a couple of pairs of red shoes, but no red clothes. Blue, on the other hand, is all over my closet!

Lost In Atlantis
While I do love swishy dresses, sometimes I prefer a shift dress due to its simplistic silhouette and its ability to flatter a small frame. When I saw this one on the Sugarlips website, I knew it'd be perfect for the summer months. With clean lines and a color-blocking ruffle down the front, this "Lost in Atlantis" dress definately sets itself apart from the usually structured shift dresses. The dress has perfectly mastered a balance between the sporty look, that has been so popular this season, and an understated femininity. I'm completely smitten!
I thought the dress stood out really well on it's own, so I decided not to wear any jewelry as to not overpower the dress's chic simplicity. I paired them with my Zara heels for a pop of contrasting orange (I can't seem to get enough of the orange and blue color combination!). Tell me what you think!!!

Get In The Mix
I attended the SHOUT! PR "Get In The Mix" blogger event yesterday. It was so great meeting all of the SHOUT! PR girls and all of the other local OC bloggers! The event was held at the OC Mart Mix, which I've never been to. It's definately a really unique and awesome place, with little shops everywhere carrying everything from cheese, wine, beauty products, and of course clothes! You all should definately check it out if you're in the area!!!
For the event, I wore a cobalt blue dress from Zara matched with heels and and orange clutch. I think I've mentioned it before, but I'm beyond obsessed with the blue and orange color pairing. It matches and contrasts so well, doesn't it? To be honest, this dress looked less than impressive online and on the hanger in stores, but it definately was a great surprise to find how cute it was upon trying it on. I guess this is what they mean by "don't judge a book by its cover?" ...Always take chances with fashion!! :)
Enjoy the pictures!

Studded Tweed
Hi everyone!
Tweed is probably one of my favorite fabrics. There's just something about the texture of it and how it mixes different colors together that's just so intriguing to me. It also has

Lust List
Here are some items and trends that I'm currently lusting after! Scallops, pleats, and neon are just a few trends that are currently catching my eye. I've been on the lookout for the perfect watch, and this Marc Jacobs one might just fit the bill! I just love the warm tone and modern-ness of the light pink tones in rose gold! These checkered pumps by Miu Miu are an absolute must, if only I could get my hands on them! They're darling, don't you agree??? And of course, a tweed jacket, which is a fashion staple in my opinion! Still looking for mine!

Amethyst
Although I have a tendency to wear bright colors, purple isn't a popular color in my wardrobe. I couldn't resist buying this royal purple top though! It's made of a sheer chiffon silk fabric that flows really well and has an open back. I had a hard time coming up with a way to wear it, but my problem was solved with high waisted shorts and a bandeau....and some black pumps of course! Let me know what you think!

Seaside
The sun FINALLY came out yesterday after a week of gloomy weather! What better way to celebrate by wearing a bright color? This Marc Jacobs pleated top is one of my favorites! Orange seems to be one of the spotlight colors of the season and in my opinion, can work on most anyone. It really adds a glow to every skintone doesn't it?
I paired my orange top with a leather skirt from Zara that I bought a while ago and of course the Zara heels that have been so popular lately. I really love the simpicity of the leather skirt and I'm sure you'll be seeing me in it more often from now on!
Happy Weekend!!

Ooh La
I just discovered Lana Del Rey's music this past week....I'm a little behind I realize! She's been really big for a while now, and it amazes me that I just started listening to her because her voice is so different and captivating! I think my favorite song of hers is "Dark Paradise" or "Blue Jeans." Do any of you listen to her? If so, which are your favorite songs?
In this post I'm wearing a BCBG dress with rosettes on the front. It's really different isn't it? I've had it for a while now, but completely forgot about it...however, it seemed perfect for Easter Sunday! Enjoy the pictures.
