Sweater Skirt

So, I had been eyeing this skirt for quite some time because of its unique print/color combination and its super soft sweater-like construction. While browsing the Club Monaco website the other day, I was so excited to see it on sale! I dropped by the store the same day, just to see if they would have it, and got the last one in my size!!!! Can you say "meant to be"?  :)

Four Twenty Two

I have this obsession with leather everything lately. These shorts from Zara are perfection! I love that they're not the typical black leather that you normally see, not to mention the super short cut.

These sunglasses are from Firmoo. I have a couple pairs of their prescription glasses and really had no idea that they also sold sunglasses. These are pretty cute I'd say!

Have a fantastic Monday!!!

Fire Engine Red

Hi everyone!

How chic is this red blazer from Wallis? I paired it with a peach top, which is kind of a risky color combination  but it seems to work! I love how versatile this blazer is--perfect for a day at the office or a night out on the town!

I was recently asked to be a part of Wallis' contest to pick the first US Blogger Ambassador for their brand.  After seeing their amazing clothes, I of course jumped at the opportunity!
Please vote for me on the Wallis Facebook Page!

Have a great week!

Cozy :: Stripes and Sequins

The amazing team over at Firmoo sent me these glasses last week, and I think I love them even more than my last pair! the tortoise shell frams are not only chic, but they also have a very retro vibe to them, making them that much more amazing! Firmoo is still doing their Free Glasses promotion for new customers, so you can snag a pair yourself and channel your inner nerd!

It's been getting colder and colder lately, which makes the weather perfect for layering. I love how the sequin embellishments peak out from under the sweater and add sparkle to my look! Whats the holiday season without some sparkle right?

Jeans and Jewels

Because you just can't be dressed up all the time...
On days when I just don't feel like dressing up, I really love a jeans and T-shirt combo. I really don't like looking sloppy though, so I added a vest and statement necklace. I think statement jewelry is really a great way to pull a casual outfit together, don't you?

Golden:: Lace Peplum and Houndstooth

Can this top be any more stunning? The gold lace, the peplum, the open back....it's just so opulent! I love how fancy it is, though I can also easily see myself dressing it down with a pair of jeans and a blazer. Very versatile. On this occasion, I decided to pair the top with a full skirt to emphasize the peplum's effect. I love how the mixed prints turned out!

Little Red Dress

This dress is perfection. While little black dresses are timeless and elegant, there's something about a little red dress that's so festive and exciting. As the weather cools, and the holidays approach,  red seems like the perfect color for a cocktail dress. It's still a very classic color, but is very bright and vivacious! I love the caged back detailing on this one too!

I decided to pair my black patent booties with the dress, instead of the usual, expected black pumps. A little more exciting, no?

Hidden :: White Button Down & Metallic Shorts

I can't get enough of this white button down! If you follow me on instagram (@bijouminou), you know how excited I was to receive this shirt from Sugarlips. I pretty much put it on as soon as I received it and it's been on frequent rotation in my closet lately as well. I have a thing for white button downs...well, button downs in general. Especially when they have unique details like this one does. The shirt features sequins not only on the cuff, but also hidden under the collar, which makes a subtle, yet glamorous statement. I'm all about the drapey fit too! I really hate when button downs are too stiff, but this one has a perfectly draped, loose fit that looks perfectly undone.

Royal

This dress from Sugarlips just screams Fall to me! The opulent scarf print and the bright red color look very regal and are so representative of the luxurious feel of Fall fashion.  I'm in love with the sweetheart neckline and the fuller circle skirt too!

Blue Jeans

Hi Everyone!

So these denim shorts are my first pair.....well...ever! I know, I know, who doesn't own a pair of denim shorts right? Especially shocking since denim cutoffs seem to be the fashion staple of every girl in Southern California. But I have to admit, while they are a little cliché , there's also a timeless quality about them, which makes me reach for them more often than not on scorching hot days. Perhaps they'll find their way into my list of fashion staples now??

I paired  my new shorts with a loose button down, sleeves rolled up, for a relaxed vibe. This tops is one of my favorites, and I especially love the black stripe down the back. Very tuxedo like.
Let me know what you think!

Studded Tweed

Hi everyone!

Tweed is probably one of my favorite fabrics. There's just something about the texture of it and how it mixes different colors together that's just so intriguing to me. It also has

Garden Party

My love for pastel continues! This dress is the perfect combination of multiple pastel hues and a flirty one shoulder silhouette. I paired the look with some bright accessories-fuschia lipstick, an orange pochette, and sparkly bracelet-which I think adds some great contrast to the cotton candy colors in the dress.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Abstract

This is actually the first time I've ever worn a romper....and I kinda like it! It was really easy pulling together the outfit, as all I needed was a blazer and heels. The romper stands really well on its own too, since it has such a bold print and bright color.

I have a really hard time finding blazers that fit well since I'm pretty small. Most blazers are too big and need alterations, but this one is really perfect. I'll let you in on a little secret....it's actually a little boys blazer!!!! While I did get a few funny looks when I was trying it on, it was well worth it, since it's practically the perfect simple blazer. I love the crest on it too!

Take It And Run

We've been having so much gloomy weather lately, it doesn't really feel much like Spring. I'd really like the sun back for a little while, but at least it's not cold! The weather was quite warm this past weekend, despite the clouds, which was perfect for this rather casual ensemble. I really how the knitted cardigan just drapes so well! I wanted it to be the focus of my outfit, so I kept the rest of the look crisp and simple. A swipe of orange lipstick and some sparkly bracelets and I was good to go!

Hope you're all enjoying your week so far!

Brocade

This is absolutely my new favorite hairstyle!! I realize my bun is practically as big as my head...but that makes it all the more glamorous, right? Another plus, is it's super easy to do and really quick. Perfect for those days that you just don't have time to do your hair.

I'm wearing a gold brocade dress over a navy silk blouse. I told you guys I was crazy about shiny/metallic things! I think I'm just drawn to luxurious fabrics in general like silk, satin, brocade...etc.
I just feel like they are so easy to wear, like you never have to try too hard to make them look good. They just naturally seem so glamorous and chic and don't require much accessorizing, since they standout so well on their own.

Cocktail Hour

I decided to go out for cocktails with my boyfriend. What better to wear than a LBD? Black is not a color that is prominent in my wardrobe, but every girl needs a little black dress...or 10! This is one of my go-to dresses when I want to dress up a bit, but don't want to go all out in color. It's quite simple, but I think the lace adds a nice edge.

Little black dresses are so easy to wear and accessorize since they pretty much go with anything. I accessorized my look with glitter Louboutins and some black chandelier earrings. How do you like it?

Starry Eyed

I'm wearing my new Club Monaco jacket today. As you can see, it's metallic and faux-fur. I think metallics are going to be big this year...but then again, do they ever go out of style?

The weather keeps changing so often lately, it's hard to think about what to wear on a daily basis. However, this weekend is especially warm, so I decided to wear shorts! Hopefully it will be consistantly warmer now that Spring is aproaching. On that note, aren't all of the flowers and plants pretty?

Cannes

Here's an outfit I put together with my new Louis Vuitton Cannes purse.
Do you remember these shoes? They are my oxblood Christian Louboutin glitter pumps that I absolutely adore!!! I think they are my favorite out of all of the Louboutins I own.

I simply can NOT stop staring at this purse (and smiling everytime I see it)!! It seems silly, but I still can't believe I was able to find one in such perfect condition, after wanting one for so long. I was almost positive, since it had been discontinued for so long, that finding one in good condition would be nearly impossible! While it did take quite a while to find, I can't be any more happy to add it to my collection.

Do you have anything that you're just dying to have?

Oui, Mon Cher!

Finally!!! This past weekend, I finally had the time to take pictures for an outfit post! I've been dying to update the blog for such a long time, but exams and homework have kept me away.

This outfit reminds me of Paris...for some reason or other. I picked up this dress at a small boutique last week and have fallen in love with its simplistic silhouette and bold stripes. I paired it with a bowler hat and vest for some flair. Hope you enjoy all the pictures!!

Mod Squad

I hope all of you had a great Christmas! I spent the day at my aunt's house with my family having a huge dinner. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, so there's no pictures of the party. I did get to take pictures of my outfit though!

The dress I'm wearing is a vintage mini from the 60's. I've always LOVED the fashion of the 60's and 70's and the "mod" era. I love the whole minidress look with bright colors etc. Have you ever watched old episodes of "I Dream of Jeannie" or "Bewitched?" I love those shows not only for the storylines, but the amazing wardrobe of the characters! How fun would it be to live in London in the 60s?
